2009 MTV VMAs

Well last night was rather interesting for the MTV VMAs. I thought that Madonna did an excellent job in her tribute speech to Michael Jackson. I actually had chill bumps for a minute. Then there was Lady Gaga and her crazy outfits. I wasn’t sure if she was going to a Mardi Gras ball or the VMAs. And what is with her performance and the blood scene? It reminded me of a scene from the 80’s Carrie thriller.
I was rather disappointed at Kanye for taking Taylor Swift’s spotlight. That wasn’t necessary and was outright rude. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys topped of the night with the Empire State of Mind song.
The VMAs were more about the wackiness than the actual winners this year.

Let’s not forget about Lil Mama crashing the stage during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performance. I’m a huge Jay-Z fan and feel the opposite of Lil Mama. So I thought it was messed up. For those of you that don’t know who Lil Mama is, then good for you. She is a sorry excuse for a female rapper and one of the judges on America’s Best Dance crew. Which would have been a good show if they would have replaced her. She’s more annoying the Paula Abdul on American Idol. I actually like Kanye West more than I like Lil Mama, if that says anything. If Kanye would have walked up to Lil Mama and said that Beyonce had the best video then it probably wouldnt have been such a big deal. But of course if Lil Mama was to win the best video of the year, I’m pretty sure monkey’s would have flown out of Kanye’s butt. Which would have been a lot more entertaining. That’s just my opinion!
